WHERE: Suite 216, 1118 Homer Street, Vancouver. Safety protocols in place.

$1/hour with a 3 hour maximum
Scripts Reads with Janet, is an intimate evening of script reading from emerging and established writers. An opportunity for actors and writers to connect, to engage, and to bring to life the words on the page. The selected scripts will come from a variety of genres including shorts and feature-length films. A great way for writers to hear their work, and for actors to practice their craft.
Script Reads will meet once a month, on Fridays, where EVERYONE attending will be given the chance to read. We offer coffee & treats for all to enjoy.
WHO:
Janet Walmsley – Janet has an active, professional career in Acting, Theatre, Film, TV, Commercials and Voice Overs for the past 15 years. She was Co Chair of the Ageism Committee with UBCP. As well as the director of the play “Graceland”. Janet was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for a Comedy at the 6th Annual Indie Awards in Los Angles. She won the Unlimited Woman of Creativity Award at the Unlimited Women Awards in Victoria. Janet is a Best Selling and Award-Winning Author of her Non-Fiction book, “The Autistic Author and Animator”.
For Writers
We are excited to invite emerging and seasoned writers to have their scripts read by actors. There is no minimum or maximum length. Scripts will be sent to actors in advance so they can read on their phones or laptops. Or writers can have the scripts printed. Writers do not pay the $15 entrance fee for these events.
