WHERE: Suite 216, 1118 Homer Street, Vancouver. Safety protocols in place.
Ample parking on Richards between Helmcken and Davie.
$1/hour with a 3 hour maximum

We are incredibly excited to have Angela Quinn coming in from Kelowna to do a workshop in person with us! Many actors have received their first big breaks with Angela. Great chance to work with her and get on her radar.

WHO:

Angela Quinn – Angela Quinn is one of BC’s busiest casting directors along with being a passionate theatre director/choreographer and educator as well. She has worked professionally in the entertainment business for 30 years and she is currently a member of the Casting Society of America, the Casting Director’s Society of Canada and she is a voting member of the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television. Prior to this Angela was also a full member of the Union of BC Performers & the Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television & Radio Artists.

Angela has cast over 200 film & television productions in her career to date and her projects can be seen on Netflix, Prime, The Roku Channel, The Hallmark Channel, The W Network, Lifetime, CityTV and several other streaming platforms and networks currently available. Some of the projects that Angela has cast have been nominated for Canadian Screen Awards and have premiered as official selections at the Toronto International Film Festival, the Vancouver International Film Festival, The Whistler Film Festival and the Vancouver Asian Film Festival. Her casting work has also been featured in TRENDS magazine spotlighting the Okanagan film industry and she has been interviewed multiple times by CBC Radio for film industry discussions.

In her community, Angela was honoured to have been named a finalist for ‘Woman of the Year’ which was presented by the Women in Business organization in her region and she thoroughly enjoys teaching workshops across the country where she can connect with talent from coast to coast.

Angela is thrilled to be back offering a workshop at Actorvan Studios this year!


Petar Gatsby Petar Gatsby – Originally from sunny Croatia, Petar grew up and started training the craft in Germany. He lived and worked in Sydney, Australia, Auckland, New Zealand before permanently relocating to Vancouver, BC. Over the years, he’s worked as an Actor, Stunt Actor, Stage Actor, TV Presenter, Drama Teacher, Audition Coach, Stage Manager and Director/Producer. Finding his niche in the busy Vancouver Film and Television Industry early on, he quickly started booking roles and is working tirelessly to expand his range as an actor.

Some of his favourite credits include ARROW (CW Network), THE DETOUR (TBS), PROJECT BLUE BOOK (History Channel), TURNER & HOOCH (Disney +) and THE DAY WE LEFT (Edmonton International Film Festival).

Most recently Petar spent 2 weeks in Osoyoos, B.C. shooting for a Recurring Role on a new TV Series.

In his spare time he likes to take cold plunges and float in dark, salty isolation tanks to enhance his creativity.
