Improv Workshop for Actors

FEES: $195 + GST. Prior payment is required to reserve a seat.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Participants will not be able to cancel for this special workshop. Seats can be transferred to friends and we will do everything we can to find a replacement as there is usually a wait-list for these workshops.

Ali began her impro career at *Loose Moose Theatre*, founded by Keith Johnstone. Ali has spent the last 10 years performing & studying with impro gurus Keith Johnstone, Dennis Cahill, Rebecca Northan, and Shawn Kinley. She has performed and taught impro on numerous stages across Canada as well as in Norway, Holland, and the United Arab Emirates. Ali works frequently with Rebecca Northan’s Spontaneous Theatre, select credits include: *Undercover* (Tarragon Theatre), *An Undiscovered Shakespeare* (Stratford Festival) and is thrilled to be joining the cast of *Blind Date* and begin her training in the iconic role of *Mimi* at ArtsClub Vancouver in November 2018. She has also performed in numerous international improv festivals, including *Den Andre Teaterfestivalen*, *Improvaganza*, *Vancouver International Improv Festival*, and is the founder and Artistic Director of the *Canmore International Improv Festival.*

WORKSHOP FORMAT:


Saturday May 19th:

  • 9am-12pm: Learning to celebrate failure
  • 12-1: lunch
  • 1pm-5pm: working in the “circle of expectation” the art of doing what’s obvious.
