CANCELLATION POLICY: Participants will not be able to cancel for this special workshop. Seats can be transferred to friends and we will do everything we can to find a replacement as there is usually a wait-list for these workshops.
WHO: Dale Genge is the head of voice for Studio 58, Western Canada’s professional conservatory theater-training program at Langara College in Vancouver, where she has taught for 35 years. She is a founding faculty member of the Canadian National Voice intensive, and has coached at Bard on the Beach, and other theater and dance companies in Canada and the US. Her work is deeply influences by the voice and text work of David Smukler, Kristian Linklater, Richard Armstrong and Patsy Rodenburg. She trained with Marion Woodman, where she investigated incorporating voice, poetry and classical text into an understanding of the symbolic imagination though the body. She has taught for the Marion Woodman Foundation in Europe. She is also a Certified Laban Movement Analyst. For the last four years she has been on faculty of Banff Centre’s Writing Studio, teaching voice to narrative writers and poets.
