THE NEW CASTING ENVIRONMENT
The pandemic has changed the casting landscape for good. Over are the days of overcrowded waiting rooms and busy in-person casting sessions. Self Tapes, Zoom auditions and the occasional in-person callback are the new norm. And they are here to stay. One of the best ways to build an in person relationship with casting is to do casting director workshops where they can see your work live, see how you take re-directs, as well as get a sense of who you are as a person. It’s harder for casting to trust someone just from a self tape. Casting director workshops gives the actor an edge in The New Casting Environment that is even more competitive than before.
