Participants will not be able to cancel for this workshop. Seats can be transferred to friends and we will do everything we can to find a replacement as there is usually a wait-list for these workshops.
Students are required to bring a Standard SD Card to classes & workshops so they may review their work outside of class.
Ann Forry – Seasoned Casting Director Ann Forry, has an extensive background working in the film and television industry spanning over twenty five years. Ann has held a variety of positions as an Agent, Extras Casting Director and for the past twenty years as a principal Casting Director.
Her background includes casting music videos, hundreds of television commercials, Movies of the Week for LIFETIME & HALLMARK and award winning feature films. Ann has over eighty film and tv credits. She has enjoyed working with Producers and Directors from around the world, and cultivating ongoing relationships with Agents and Managers throughout North America, Europe and Asia.
Her vast knowledge of the casting process has provided Ann with a great ability to get the best performance from actors quickly. She’s keen to discover talented new actors and casting actors in their first large role.
Ann is a proud member of The Casting Society of America, she has written, Produced and Directed three short films and has numerous scripts in development.
Bronwen Smith – Born in Toronto and raised in North Vancouver, Bronwen Smith fell in love with acting at an early age. She has parlayed her talent and dedication into more than two decades of notable film, television, and theatre roles.
Her work on screen has covered everything from the dramatic mini series Unspeakable (CBC) to the family friendly feature film Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days (20th Century Fox) and everything in between. Other on screen credits include A Series of Unfortunate Events (Netflix), The Good Doctor (ABC), Easter Under Wraps (Hallmark), Legends of Tomorrow (CW), and Dirk Gently (Netflix). She’s had the pleasure to work with a whole host of talented directors including Jonathan Demme, Anne Wheeler, Barry Sonnenfeld, Jon M. Chu, Shawn Levy, Joe Dante and Dee Rees.
In 2019 she was nominated for a Jessie Richardson Theatre award for Outstanding Lead Performance by an Actress for her role in Aenigma Theatre’s production of The How and the Why.
When not acting, Bronwen loves teaching acting, mentoring new actors, and producing theatre. She is a proud member of Vancouver’s all-female theatre company, Classic Chic.
