Action for Actors & Firearms for Film workshop


Learn the skills all actors should know and have confidence in when going out for action parts.

WHEN: FRIDAY January 31st  |  4pm – 10pm

WHERE: 2333 Ontario Street, Vancouver

PARTICIPANTS: Only 12 seats available

FEES: $225 (GST Included). Prior payment is required to reserve a seat.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Participants will not be able to cancel for this special workshop. Seats can be transferred to friends and we will do everything we can to find a replacement as there is usually a wait-list for these workshops.

AGES: 19 +

VIDEO CLIPS: Students are required to bring a Standard SD Card to classes & workshops so they may review their work outside of class.

Workshop first part session:

  • Learn how to do fight scene with actor action safely.
  • Students are partnered to act in a scene with dialog and film violence to be taped for playback.
  • Learn on how to go to a crash mat safely.
  • Learn how to sell a bullet hit.

Workshop second part session:

  • Learn hands on firearms safety on a film set.
  • Learn hands on how to hold a (pistol/rifle) properly for film.
  • Learn hands on how to walk and turn with a firearm for film.
  • Experience hands on with a firearm in a scene with dialog to be taped for playback
  • Learn about film protocol with firearms.
  • Experience with hands on live fire with simunition (noiseless blanks)
